Reflection Journal 3 Teaching Methodologies

            As teachers’ candidates in the future we often hear about Teaching Methodologies. I think teaching methodologies is very important, because we have to know about our method and our technique to get learning objectives. Many methods that we knew, so we have to know the most appropriate for our teaching and also for our students.

            As we know that before teachers come to the class, they prepare about anything like Lesson Plan, activities during in the class and also methodologies to support the activities. Base on my experience as a private teacher, long time ago I did not know about teaching methodologies and the function of it. I only taught what I know and what I can and before I assume that methods is not important, because if my students understand about my material, they do the exercise by their selves, and they get good score in the exam. It is enough and I think as teacher I do best for them.

 Nowadays, I just realized that teachers have to know about the teaching methodologies and it is very important, because as a teacher we not only share or transfer about our knowledge to them, but we also as their parents in the school who have to know about their characteristics, their knowledge, and their methodologies in learning, if we know about their personal it will make us easy to teach them, because we know our approach, methods, and technique to teach them. I think if there are teachers like that, it is not impossible many children who smart and creative in this country. Actually there is no children who stupid, but the teachers who make mistakes in teaching.

Great Spirit and support for teachers who care with their students’ education. I know God knows with our effort to make Indonesia be better than before. So, Please keep our spirit for our students, because Indonesia needs great teachers to make improvement in this country.:-)
