Reflection Journal Discussion Our Story in School Experience By: Nurlelah (2010120055) Forum Group Discussion is very interesting for us because we can learn many things through our story. We could share our experiences each other. I thought our discussion yesterday was very amazing because I found strange and surprising story from my friends. They told they have many story and they could learn how to handle their problem during school experience with their strategy that they know in PETA and LTM. We used teaching methodologies that we know like Group Instruction, Lecturing, Guide Discovery and Direct Interaction. We also explored lesson plan in school experiences and actually many teachers in our schools did not make lesson plan before their teaching in the class. They think lesson plan is not important because lesson plan is just papers that writing theories and strategies in teaching. Lesson plan is not same with the real situation in the classroom. So, that reason made teachers were averse to make lesson plan and maybe their experiences in teaching for twenties years make them know how to handle their students. It sounds funny because in our mind lesson plan is very important before we teaching in the classroom and it makes we predict our teaching and our strategies, but our mind is not same with our old teachers. However, I learnt many things from my master teacher in SMAN 43 because she respected my mind about lesson plan, methodologies, and strategies in teaching. I think she supports my purpose and my friends in SSE to improve our education are better than before. I think I am lucky because I got master teacher who understood and support my mind.
