Assessment and Evaluation

            When we discussed assessment and evaluation in the PETA classroom, I just realized that it is very important for teachers. Assessment is a process to collect data and making a judgment on learners’ knowledge and ability. On other hands, we have to also make evaluation to improve our teaching in the class. Evaluation is a broader concept than ass4essment. It involves collecting information and making a judgment on the quality of the total class program.

            Assessment and Evaluation are very important to get a good and different thing in the class, because if the teachers do not do it, it will make students and teachers do not realize about the activities in the class. The teachers also have to explain about assessment that measured by them from rubrics that made by them. It makes students clear about the objective of the activities. The most important from assessment are validity and reliability. A valid assessment is one which provides information on the ability we wan to assess and nothing else. Reliability refers to consistency with which our assessment tools measure.

I think the best teachers will do like that, because they want their class dynamic and their students think out of the box.
