Classroom Assessment Topic

            The last topic was classroom assessment. Before doing any explanation of it, Ms. Ine instructed us to have some activities. They were drawing and describing the picture. It was so fun and enjoyable. I think there was no relation between these activities and the topic. Might be it was as the brain storming or ice breaker before teaching activity. Then we were given some questions about classroom to be discussed in group. One of the questions was asking the difference between assessment and evaluation. Ms. Ine told that evaluation must be scoring or judging. Honestly I am still confused with this statement, because I ever found an assessment which was in score also. May be Ms. Ine could explain me more about this. The activities were closed by a short discussion about assessment in PETA subject.

In that discussion, we shared that weekly e-reflection burdens us so much. Moreover we have to post it on blog and give any comment for others. Actually I also that it is not related to this subject, but after Ms. Ine gave the explanation that writing reflection is to make the students familiar with writing skill. She also that lecturers hope students be good in writing paper or thesis someday. After her explanation, I realized that there is a big purpose from this simple weekly reflection. Then, Ms. Ine did lecturing to explain classroom assessment topic. I also get the material about this topic in LTM subject, so it is easier for me and I get more information. In the other hand, sometime I find confusing explanation from those both subjects.
