My 7th e-Reflection of PETA
This is my seventh PETA’s reflection. I will clarify again that as a scholar I have to make one reflection journal every week after attending PETA class. It should be posted in a class blog page regularly. In addition, each scholar should give two comments to different classmate’s posting. So far I was feeling interested in it. So, what did I learn from PETA this week?
Honestly, I felt a bit different when I was at the meeting. Imagine that Ms. Ine asked us to draw. Of course it was not an art class. She asked us to draw our feeling at that day. We could draw anything. Then we have drawn our first impression about a word, test. I have drawn a heap of books and people capture. The reasons are given some questions around my mind. When I heard test, my first impression and opinion are questions come up. Have I read books to prepare the test? And How about my friends, Are they ready to face the test? So, if my friends are ready why am I not. The key words for that activity are drawing and sharing. At that time, we have to share our masterpiece to others. After that we gathered in a group of four.
In the group, we asked to answer some questions about assessment. As we may know that assessment is one important part of learning and teaching process. According to me, assessment is effort to collect students’ information based on learning and teaching process. Absolutely, assessment is different from test or evaluation. We can also say that test and evaluation is part of assessment.
Next move to formative test and summative test. These are kind of test which is give from teacher to students. Formative test is some tests which is taken during learning process. For example daily exam. While summative test is some tests which is taken in the end of learning process. The aim of summative test is to sum up students’ understanding such as mid test and final test.
Why do assessment important in learning process? And how do assessment support learning process. Assessment is important because an ideal learning process must has goal to achieve. So assessment is used to measure goal achievement. Positively, assessment can directly support learning process because it records and collects evidences about what happen during learning process are? It probably goes well or out of our expectation.
Trough this posting I try to share my understanding especially in PETA course. I hope in the future I will not only recall my understanding but also I can create another understanding deeper and greater. Thank you a bunch to read my class blog.

Anyway...
As we know an assessment ideally should assess three thing, they are: cognitive, affective and psycho motor.. Do you know how to assess student's affective?

what do you think about students' MI, how a teacher consider about students' MI in assessing students?

I think we can set them in a group work to know for example interpersonal relationship skills trough collaboration and cooperation with peers.

As we may know that assessment is effort to collect students' information.
Teacher can do different activities and tests to cover students' MI. As a result, assessment can record it.
actually I feel confused about what are the affective elements which we should assess from our students, how I make a rubric if I do not know what should be assess, right? so, would you like to help me?
