Tuesday (10/11) is the PETA session which Miss Ine didn’t teach us because that was our turns to teach in front of the class. We conducted simulations of learning and teaching process.
We were divided into 7 groups as team teaching. Each team had to prepare a lesson plan, the materials, and the teaching aid. My group taught about how to read poem. The objectives of that lesson were students able to express the words in the poem and read poem correctly. The activities were watching video, explanation, showing how to read poem, and playing a game.
The other groups showed their micro teachings nice. I could learn a lot for them: what we should do in teaching activity and what we should not. At the end of the session, Miss Ine gave us her comment and suggestion.
This micro teaching activity helped us to be well-prepared before we go to real school as a teacher assistant. Well, I have to shape my own mind as a real good teacher so I can be a good teacher in the future. I still need my lecturers and my friends hand to make it happen.
