The second meeting with Principles of Effective Teaching and Assessment (PETA) is beginning with watching video about thematic lesson in elementary school. I like watching video in the class, it is make me interested. After that, we divided into some group to discuss about the video. According to my group’s discussion, the video is ineffective. It is because the students in the video are passive student. They just continue what the teacher said. Then, there is not group activity like discussion. Beside it, the teacher just explains about one object (rambutan). I think the objective of the lesson is incomplete.
In my opinion, it same with my first reflection that to become effective teacher, there must student centered learning in the class, teacher just as a facilitator. So, the student can become active students. Then, the objective of the lesson must be complete and the teacher must have prepared firstly like make lesson plan, prepare material to be delivered, and others. I think with use that way, the teacher can have good time management. In addition, I think the teacher must be creative, especially to make activities in the class. It is for make students interested and enjoy in the class, for example with use game tournament. And then, many teaching methods can support it, but I think we must choose the method that is appropriate with our lesson and the objective.
After we discussion about the video, my lecture explain about taxonomy bloom. Although I have been know about that, but I want to learn more it. Then after that, we discuss again to make lesson plan. I have been learn about make lesson plan before. So, I know a little about it. But, I want to know some more about it, so I will be an expert to making lesson plan.

Nice reflection ayu,,, but you know it is hard for me to make lesson plan because I don't really like planning hahhahah hope we'll be better in this course :)
