What should I prepare for teaching in the class?(Second reflection for Peta)

“at the end of tis lesson what do I want my students to know, to do or to understand which will take their learning on form where it is now?” ( Trevor  Kerry, 2002)

            As a teacher have you ever heard about that statement? Actually what do you want your students know? Or what goals you taught in your learning process? All of question is refers to you as a teacher. Through this lesson today I had learn that many teachers at the past forget to put the most important things in their teaching practice. As the result students getting bored and did not get what teacher explained to them. Like my lecture said on the lesson that they are two sins in curriculum activity focused and coverage approach, I never want to do that. As a teacher we had a big duty to collaborate active learning and also reach the target learning, we cannot do it imbalance.

            So we need the guidance that called “lesson plan”, it contains with all of the things that we need in teaching practice e.g. the target materials, the duration, some activities that support our lesson and etc. In making lesson plan there are some things which important such us how many students we will teach and what method we will use to get the goal. Because sometimes we see there are many teachers taught students ineffectively because size of class is not suitable with the teacher’s capacity. I had felt taught by a teacher who never cares about their student’s perception about the way he taught us, he came late, never giving praise moreover he seems like never want to teach us. I promise never be a teacher like that, so I had to absorb all of the knowledge I need from this course.

            As we know that now teaching is taught by a lot of methods but we still need to pay attention with ours students characteristic and behaviours. Nowadays teaching is not only make your students get the high score but also make them really know why they need to learn. That’s way in making lesson plan we have four related things to be prepare there are instruction, planning, classroom environment, and assessment. In addition as a new generation of teacher we supposed to make our students learn as bloom taxonomy said I mean when you being a teacher you must make them really absorb your lesson and make sure they can apply it well.  

            Overall I love this semester, through all of kind stuff I will prepare being a teacher, a new generation of teacher that will be bring a new passion in learning process.
