At the first time I came to this school, I was almost late because the class starts at 6.30 am. After ringing bell, the school gate is close. For the students and teachers who come late, has to wait untill 7am and make a detention letter. I met my master teacher. He warned my friends and I about the whole condition of the school.
After talking with the master teacher, then I know that sometimes he make a lesson plan. However, he is busy person, he is not only a teacher but human resource of communication. He serves guests from another school which visits the school. In the first week, I observed the teacher hasn’t made any lesson plan for the day, so he asked the students to go to the language laboratory. They were given listening test. The students listened to 3 songs and they had to fill the missing lyric. Whenever the teacher spoke, the students kept silents and pay attention to him.
From the beginning,the teacher gave clear introduction about what are they going to do that day and instructions to do in that language laboratory. After filling the blank, my friends and I were asked to collect the students’ anwer sheet. That’s the only chance for me to observe the learning process in the school. The next day, my master teacher asked my friends and I to correct the answer sheet of his students and replace him to teach his students from different class to do listening section.
My master teacher also told me that he emphasized on listening and speaking skill. He stimulated the students to speak english by giving them bilingual instruction. In my opinion, he is so well prepared even he rarely make lesson plan. And the learning process while he was teaching, was condusive as he is respectable. I can consider him respectable based on the students’ respond while he speak.
