Being Teacher Assistance

 School experience is a part of our activity in every semester. This semester,  I become teacher assistance especially teacher assistance of English teacher. For me, it is really big duty.

First time I came to the school, I was really glad because the school was really welcome to us especially my mentor teacher. She directly asked me and my friend to teach. Well, I was very surprised. I thought that my friend and I would observe the teaching and learning process in her class before teaching in the real class but she did not give the chance. Finally, I could not reject her request.

That day, my friend and I met my mentor teacher and discussed about everything that we had to prepare before teaching. Then she explained about the topic and lesson that we were going to use later. 

The day came, before teaching I gave my lesson plan to my mentor teacher. She accepted my concept of teaching. Then, my friend and I applied our lesson plan in our first class. During teaching, we did all activities based on my lesson plan such us opening class with greeting, praying and checking students’ attendance, continued with delivering material then closing. Our mentor teacher said that our teaching was nice and appropriate with our lesson plan. She also gave us some advice to make our teaching better. In other hand, the students said that they liked our teaching. I was really glad to hear that. By joining this activity, I could learn many thing to be a teacher.
