Yesterday is the first meeting for PETA subject after I finished my midterm-test. I have learned about how to be an effective teacher. Miss Ine as my PETA lecturer divided us into 5 groups, and asked us to do jigsaw. Honestly, it is one of the teaching techniques which I like. My group should discussed about cooperative learning which is included the characteristic, purposes, and types.
I was very surprised that cooperative learning has good purpose that can make the students will think beyond. It also can ignore the traditional teaching and learning activities where the students just listen and repeat the teacher’s instruction. In addition, the learning cooperative style has inspired me to educate my students to sink and swim together which means the students should interact with the other students and be the sociable learner without be individual learner. I can plant the principle as the learner can’t do anything without the other learners that means the students can’t work alone without their mate, and then educate to proud of the students’ complishment.
Cooperative learning style has some characteristics that we can identify easily from five elements such as positive interdependence, face to face interaction, individual and group accountability, intrapersonal and small group skills, and group processing. That five elements have relation with the purpose above.
In the other hand, cooperative learning style has nine types that I have known from the passage which is distributed by Miss Ine, such as jigsaw, think-pair-share, three-step interview¸round robbin brainstroming, three-minute review, numbered head together, team pair solo, circle sage, and partner. Actually, I did not confuse when discussed it yesterday, because almost of the types have been done and given by my lecturers in my campus, Sampoerna School of Eduation. So, I really understand about how use the types for my students in classroom next time.

yeah.. it's nice journal reflection ^_^... well, are there any obstacles in application this model?
have you ever find difficulty in deciding kind of activity for lesson plan, think that we consider about MI and learning style ?

relating to your sharing, I just want to know what is the role of the teacher here?
how about the classroom management?
is it the weakness or the benefit when a student depends on the other students in learning? how if there is a student who do not really care with other students?
