E-Reflection of PETA (#5)

We Share, We Learn

In the first session of PETA after my School Experience Program (SEP) was interesting. We shared our experiences during the SEP. We were divided into groups of five or six students. Each member had to tell the amazing experiences they got. After we finished the sharing session, we did a gallery walk to review our last topic about model of instructions. Next, we did a small quiz about that topic as well.

Here I just want to highlight about the importance of sharing session. In think it is very important in education world. In my opinion at least there are three advantages of sharing session, especially sharing about SEP like what my friends and I did.

First, we can reflect to our own teaching experiences. Sharing the experiences means that I have to dig up the experiences more and more. I need to see deeper toward my experiences to understand what I can learn. Through self-reflection we can get revise our teaching methods if there are some mistakes.

I can also learn from my friends’ experiences through sharing session. As we know our skill is different each other. We can complete our weaknesses by listening our friends’ experiences. Sometimes what we are listening is effective enough for increasing our ability in doing something.

The last point that I got from sharing session is there are so many unexpected situations in education world. I think it is normal because education is belonging to social field. There are a lot of people who involve inside, so they will give effect each others. What we have learnt in our campus are the ideal situations. We have to know how to handle the unexpected situation. By sharing the experiences in SEP I can realize more that it is absolutely right that we will find many non-ideal conditions in the real education worlds (schools).

In conclusion, in my opinion sharing positives things is really important. We can learn so many things each other. Therefore, I will wait the next sharing experiences later.
