This is our first meeting after doing school experience program. We have no material today. This is the time for sharing! I am very glad because we do not have to study. First, we are divided into small group sharing and it is supposed to be representative of each school. We start sharing then.
After hearing some of friend’s experiences, I just feel something that I can’t describe in words, but sure I will elaborate it into words here. Being an educator is not as easy as we think. It’s not all about sharing. Many things happened in some schools. One of problems that happened is uncooperative master teacher.
It is supposed to be master teacher help us to do team teaching. However some of my friends didn’t get good and cooperative master teacher. For sure, it really hampers us to do it. For instance, sometimes they didn’t give us chance to observe by giving many reasons. That is just one of the examples of it.
English team teaching in St. Theresia has 2 master teachers. One group is controlled by Ms. Margie and other group with Ms. Johanna (My group: Me, Natasha and Budi). My group had very good master teacher. She really helped us to arrange teaching schedule, make a good lesson plan, handle students also management class. On the other hand, another English group had problem with their master teacher. She never helps my friends to do that kind of thing (lesson plan etc.) and she always talk about money, money and money.
Next activity is group presentation. This activity is kind of review material for mid test. Surprisingly, we could do it well. It means that we understand about PETA material. I think, it really helps us to remember our previous materials.
Overall, I have to ready to face exams. I will try to do my best for this exams. Pray and wish me luck. Never give up!!!
