Fifth reflection for PETA

At this session we were discussing about our last experience being a teacher’s assistant. Everyone have a lot of stories that inspired us as the next generation of teacher. As the result we had found many conditions and many types of students that were very interesting. Some of my friend had some difficulties when they were teaching the students. They found some students who have negative response while my friends taught them. The students tend to ignore the activities that teachers used in order to make a fun learning process such us group discussion, gallery walk or even games. From that case we had learned that some activities maybe effective in a class but it can be ineffective in other class because we deal with many different students and different interest in learning.

That’s way as a teacher we need to understand the four methods of teaching that we have learned before. It can help us in design our learning process to cover all of the learner needs. Sometimes we need to combine it based on students’ capability for example we can combining guided discovery and group presentation for teaching writing narrative skills so we can assess both individual and group work. For me all of the methods have a big impact in the learning process and it goes continuously because we cannot only use one method for all our students, we have to consider that they have different multiple intelligence so it means they have many differences in the way they got the materials.
