Grouping, Reading, Understanding, Discussing and Sharing

By: Rida Sahridah
6th e-reflection of PETA
I learnt many things from the previous meeting. We did grouping, reading, understanding and sharing. We did group activities because in the beginning of the meeting Ms. Ine divided the class into 5 groups. There were five reading materials to be covered by all groups. Each group got one reading material. There were differentiating model, effective teacher and effective teaching, cooperative learning, developing lesson plan and learning style and multiple intelligences.
My group consisted of six members. We were in effective teacher and effective teaching topic. We tried to collaborate our skills in our group working. We broke down the task so each member got different task. First all of us read the reading material. Then did each task. The tasks were illustrator, recorder, presenter, material manager and time keeper. Remember my group did reading, understanding, discussing and sharing to other groups.
An effective teaching is the teaching that makes effective learning happen. Similarly an effective teaching is empowering learners to become effective learners.
Effective learning is... (Watkins, Carnell & Lodge, 2007)

if i may make a conclusion from your group presentation, effective teaching is a process which can create effective learning and empower effective learners, then effective teacher is someone who can conduct effective teaching. there are a lot of the words "effective", aren't there? so, in your opinion, what is effective actually?

Thank you for left a comment Icha... and a question.
According to me, effective word comes from effect word meanwhile effect means a result or change something. So effective means taking ways to change something to become better or getting a result as well as the goal.
