Reflection of School Experience, Week 2

The second week of school experience in SMA 82. This week was wonderful because I taught some classes and I really enjoyed it. I will not tell more about my experience in this post but I will tell it in another post.

            My task in this week was finding more information about teaching and learning process from my mentor teacher by interview. I asked some questions about teaching and learning process in his class. These are the list of questions and the answers :

1.      Which techniques do you use in your class?

He does not use any techniques but he said that he was very flexible and depend on the conditions.  

2.      Which one do you like between individual assessment and group assessment?

He likes giving his students individual assessment because he wants to threat his students to the university. He threats each students to be active and be able to master English well.

3.      Do you always motivate your students?

Yes, of course. He said that students really need motivation and support from the teacher because motivation is one of the important things to support students interest and understanding in English.

4.       Do you find some troubles when you teach your student? What are they?

Yes, as a teacher he usually finds some trouble in teaching. Sometimes he feels bored because he has to do the same things everyday so the life is so flat because of it. Another trouble, he sometimes feels less motivation of teaching because becoming a teacher is flat.

            Those are the result of my interview. From his answes, I realize that becoming a teacher has to be called from the heart because teaching life does not become flat if the teacher could be pleasant.

            You could take some lesson from my post. Those sometimes happen around us so you have to be smart and understand what is the meaning of teaching in your life.
