THERESIA I'm in love with you :)

This is my second reflective journal for school experience. This week was very memorable, because I knew more about my students. I taught all of XI Social Class (XI IPS 1, 2 and 3). Before teaching them, we made lesson plan and we met some difficulties in creating it. The difficulties are, it was hard to combine every thought of our members. Each member has their own planning, that is why we were arguing pretty often. Other difficulties are we just had 45 minutes, and it was hard to us for sharing those times to 3 members. The last difficulty is we had to go sleep lately because we did it in limited time. But this is how we learn to be great teacher.

The entire sentence above is behind the scene of my teaching experience only. While teaching them, I tried to use some principles or methods that I have got from LTM (Language Teaching Methodologies) and PETA. I really want to make an effective teaching and assessment. Some of principles that I often used are lecturing, guided discovery and group discussion. We tried to mix them up for every meeting.

Every meeting, we tried to make an enjoyable learning that is why we involved many activities. In our first teaching, we did activities that related to listening skill. We used brainstorming to be our first activity and listening passage from hot English magazine. Next and last teaching, we prefer use group discussion and guided discovery. I really loved to hear their English while speaking, because they spoke accurately and fluently, super cool!

Reflection, this is my favorite thing to do. I mean, I really like to read their reflection about our teaching. Their reflections are like colors, they are blue, red, white, black etc. Some of them said that it was boring, but some of them said that it was really fun and enjoyable. Some of them said that it was too much activity, but in another hand, they really enjoyed our activities like brainstorming, gallery walk, group discussion, group presentation, watch movie etc. I also conducted peer assessment to them, hopefully they can get something from this activity. Overall, I can hardly wait to be a teacher. I really want to be the new generation of educators soon.
