I had never known that I really like everything about my college. Being away from it for about two weeks made me realized it. In retrospect, my previous moments in there were so precious. It felt like I almost forgot how does it feel to learn new materials, sitting in the class, paying attention to my lecture explanation, discussing assignment with my classmates, etcetera. That is why I was overjoyed to join the latest PETA session.
I was more than delighted to hear other stories when they became teacher’s assistants. Listening to Ella’s and Ira’s experience made me shocked, they must be felt really sad to have student yelling at them that way. Still, I amazed by their attitude, they handled it well. It made me thought that something out of our expectation might be happened in the class. It is important for teachers to handle unexpected situation carefully. Like what Miss Ine said student like that should be treated and approached differently.
Thanks to the school experience program, I could see the strengths and weaknesses of Model of Instructions more precisely. There is no perfect Model of Instructions, still we could apply it in the class. We could combine one model with the other or simply apply it for teaching and learning activities. There is not just only one model which could be applied for teaching (Shermis, 2004).
